How many nurses does it take to remove a central line?

I would like to hear from any others who work in a facility where it is required to have 2 RN's (or 1 RN and 1 MD) present in the room for removal of a CVAD. SWIM (Someone Who Isn't Me) works at a facility that now requires this and I am wondering if this is what other places are now doing.

Thanks,

Dan
