I need to get the codes for charging for all PICC line insertions, repairs, insertion with ultrasound etc. These would be outpatient PICC line procedures. Who could I contact to get this information?

Hi Denelle, I am in process of starting inpatient/outpatient PICC service at our hospital. After much research, I have found the in and out patient codes to be the same. We will be charging for proceedural room time for outpatients as inpatients will have PICC placed in their room. We are coding for ultrasound guided IV start in addition.

Some codes say physician but from what I have been told it means physcian or other qualified clinician.
