Ther is a discussion about all staff RN's maintaining a minimun number of three IV sticks per year with documentation.
The question is should this be a hospital policy or not? We do have an IV team who do the PICC's and difficult access. A search of the Standards of Care and Maine Board of Nursing did not help.
